 FROM KLEW-TV--POMEROY, WA - The body of Jordan Cheyenne Bloom, 23, of Bremerton, WA
was discovered in the Snake River Sunday about 17 miles below Lower
Granite Dam.
According
to a news release form Garfield County Sheriff Larry Bowles, Bloom's
body was found at about 3:55 p.m. by boaters who were out on the river.
Bowles said the body was recovered about an hour later.
Bloom
had been missing since last Monday, when he disappeared into the waters
near the Dunes, while attempting to swim to a channel marker with a
friend. The friend attempted to save Bloom, but was unable to.
The
Garfield County Sheriff's Office, the Army Corps of Engineers and the
Whitman County Marine One boat had been searching throughout the day.
Cadaver dogs from the Idaho Mountain Search and Rescue were also used
Sunday. The Nez Perce County Sheriff's Dive Team participated int he
search last week.
Bloom's family expressed their gratitude to all those who participated in the search. |
