Small fires on campus, one person caught?
Small fires were started around campus early this morning. From the Spokesman-Review: Pullman fire dispatchers say the first fire was reported at 12:41 a.m. in a dormitory, Stephenson East. The second was at 1 a.m. in a parking garage by the fine arts building, and the third was at 1:46 a.m. in some bushes outside Abelson Hall.
Police Sgt. Reuben Harris says he saw two men running from the area after the third fire and caught one of them. Harris says he used a stun gun to take 21-year-old David Patrick Miner into custody. Miner is being held for investigation of obstructing police, and he’s also under investigation in the fires.
Pullman mayor Glenn Johnson goes to hospital - Update
Mayor Johnson was admitted to the hospital after stroke like symptoms. From Dnews.com: Johnson is at Pullman Regional Hospital, where staff says he is undergoing tests after having a blood pressure spike. His wife says his prognosis is good. Johnson is also a communications professor at Washington State.
Update: Glenn Johnson is out of the hospital.
